🇺🇸 The nation remembers how he died on 9/11. But we will never forget how he lived.

We remember. We honor. We carry the legacy

As the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, my silver fox identical twin brother Troy and I want to pause and remember our hero: big brother, Army Major Dwayne Williams.

Dwayne was among the 184 people killed in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, our family still carries his loss every day.

But we also carry his legacy.

❤️ A special thank you to the Pentagon Memorial for featuring Dwayne in its video tributes honoring the victims of the Pentagon attack. Seeing my brother’s story remembered at the place where he made the ultimate sacrifice means more to our family than words can express.

Dwayne was more than a name on a memorial.

He was our big brother.

He was a son.

He was a husband and father.

He was an athlete and teammate.

He was a paratrooper, Army Ranger and Army officer.

And most importantly, he was a man who dedicated his life to serving others.

As the youngest of the four Williams brothers, I grew up looking up to Dwayne.

Now, 25 years after losing him, I believe one of my purposes is to tell his story and help make sure future generations know how Dwayne lived.

Our family is preparing for a special 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in our hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama, at the Major Dwayne Williams Pentagon Memorial in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
