Focus: Dwayne the Person

Written by Silver Fox Twin Roy Williams

3 days until we go home. 🇺🇸

When people hear September 11, they often focus on the 3,000 lives lost in those terrorist attacks, including my oldest brother Army Major Dwayne Williams who died in the Pentagon.

As I prepare to host a 25th anniversary of 9/11 celebration of Dwayne’s life in my hometown of Jacksonville, Ala. this Friday Sept. 11 at 11 a.m., I am Taking the Day Back by focusing on how Dwayne lived.

He was my oldest brother, a soldier, a UNA graduate, a football teammate, a friend, a husband, a father—and a man who touched many lives.

That’s why, 25 years later, we continue telling his story.

The nation remembers how he died. But we will never forget how he lived.

Join us Friday in Jacksonville as we honor his legacy.

🇺🇸 Take the Day Back.
